As a VISTA-phobe Mac switcher, no one did a better job than Pogue at making me feel at home with Leopard. He's done it again for Snow Leopard - where eye candy was sparse, but getting the OS ready for the future was the driving force, as well as much needed updates of the standard apps to.
Snow Leopard is the gateway to update your Mac to a newer operating system via Apple Purchases. Having seen the negative reviews, I thought I'd give it a go and see what happens. Nothing to lose. Well, imagine my surprise when I copied the iso to a USB stick, stuck it into my 2008 MacBook Pro and it worked beautifully.
Apple says those with Intel Macs running Tiger (OS X 10.4) must buy the $169 Mac Box Set, which includes a full version of Snow Leopard bundled with the latest versions of iLife and iWork.

Hi! I had several kernel panics during the last month and can't find the error. First I thought it was my safari and changed to firefox - then it was better but the problem startet again. Could please anybody help? I have the old 10.6.8 on an mac book pro 17 '. shown kexts are always only from apple.... thx.
